Stockholm summer

I believe we do head for spring now. The snow is once again gone and I reckon it won’t be back. I could not be happier. Once the spring is here the prime time of Stockholm begins. I had a period not long ago when my thoughts were once again on London, and a move didn’t feel far away. But I came to my senses and I’ve decided I’m staying here. Thinking about what’s to come I can not stop myself from smiling. I guess all cities do shine a bit extra during summer, but this city really shine. If you’ve heard a rumor saying that the sun doesn’t go down- well, then you heard correct. Cuz it doesn’t.  Which do bring a small problem with falling asleep sometimes but hey- it’s summer.
I’m sitting here trying to find a way to explain it all to you, but how do you describe such great feeling? How can I phrase it, so that you will understand how it sounds. The smell of fresh air, blended with a hint of ocean and warmth. All around you, you’ll see beautiful people- enjoying a glass of wine. Or sitting by a hillside with friends, watching the boats, drinking beer.
When day turns into night- but cuz of the light the walk home can sometimes be the best part of the whole day. Or when the night turns into morning and the sun shoots out yellow rays and you can hear how the city is waking up.
Oh well my friends- this is all yet to come. But when it does, I will embrace every second of it.

We got a new Swedish princess last night. The name is so far not revealed as there’s a time and place for everything.

   

Who’s that girl?

It’s me!
I just didn’t realize exactly how Madonna- looking I was until I got my coat off at the coffee place today and looked down at myself.
The white lace blazer, the rings, nails and gloves gave it all away- I loved Madonna as a child. And is clearly, still very inspired by her.

… that I can show you from today’s shoot. But I can tell you right now- it’s going to be some great looking pictures! Love the garments as well- could fill my whole wardrobe with them. It’s always a lot easier when you feel something for the products you work with.
Plus- the guy model was Asian. How lucky for me, huh?

All mixed in a can

Its all dirt, western and rock. A superb mix between The Tallest Man On Earth, Seasick Steve, the soundtrack from the film Into the Wild (Eddie Vedder) a bottle of Jack Daniels and loads of Gothenburg dust. All mixed in a can. Not with love but with purpose and skills. It feels like he’s singing with cotton in his cheeks like Marlon Brando as the Godfather. Let me present to you, Old Kerry McKee. Pure brilliance.

Can’t wait

The word of today is: calm. The word of tomorrow is: shoot.
I’ll be doing two things tomorrow. First it’s a shooting with a Dj. After I’m off to work with Danish fashion label  Aniv von Borche’s look book.
I just got the pics of the models and I can’t wait to get my hands on that girls face! And the guy!

Sweet whisky

I don’t know which part of the world you’re in- but I’m in Stockholm, and it’s still snow on the ground and chilly winds fucking up my hair. Of course I would come down with a cold. Hate it. I don’t have time with this shit.
The good side of it I guess, is that it’s the perfect time to enjoy a glass ( or more ) of some Sweet Whisky. The best cold drink ever. Let me tell you how to do it. It’s oh so simple.
Your choice of whisky  ( I have a really blocked nose tonight and can’t taste a thing so I reach for the cheapest ) -> warm up some water  and mix with the whisky-> add some honey -> squeeze some lemon over it. Enjoy.
